Anson Scientific was founded on the belief that effective communication of research is as important as the science itself. We support individuals and organisations whose activities relate to science by providing a range of editorial and consulting services. Our objective is to facilitate accurate dissemination of scientific research to the broadest possible audience in order to accelerate societal gain.

 

All assignments are carried out by Dr Lesley Anson, who has 28 years of experience in scientific research and publishing. Lesley trained as a biophysicist and neurophysiologist at Bristol and Newcastle Universities before securing a Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCL. She subsequently spent a decade as a scientific editor at Nature until launching and leading  Nature Communications through its inaugural five years.

 

Having developed Nature Communications to become the third-ranked multidisciplinary journal behind Nature and Science, learning a lot about physical sciences along the way, Lesley decided to spread her wings in 2015 to establish the London-based editorial and publishing consultancy that she named Anson Scientific.
